Darius Thomas is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Dynamic Therapy, an international speech-language pathologist, instructor, mentor, supervisor, global leader, and motivational speaker. Darius holds a unique background in evaluating and treating clients in schools, daycares, clinics, homes, and via telepractice. Darius has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to address the communication and educational needs of clients with a wide variety of disability classifications, including autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, speech-language impairment, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Darius has also successfully increased articulation, fluency, voice and resonance, language, cognition, swallowing, social communication, and communication modalities in clients across the lifespan. In collaboration with families, Darius has provided early intervention therapy services for infants and toddlers with disabilities and developmental delays.
Jaxon Thomas leads Dynamic Therapy’s greeter and therapy dog operations. He is a cockerchon (Cocker Spaniel and Bichon Frise mix) and known for being social, playful, intelligent, and cheerful. He is a wonderful companion and therapy dog. When you join the Dynamic Therapy family, you also get to work with our lovable and friendly therapy dog Jaxon. From working with a child who is learning to read or making one of our adult patients smile, Jaxon is the man with the plan. 🐾
Trevor Queen is a professional scholar who has over a decade of experience working in project management, marketing, operations, policy, and legislative affairs. Some of his past experiences include providing marketing strategies for a mental health non-profit, managing field operations for a tech start-up, consulting for the Pre-K-12 education practice team of Finn Partners, interning for the United States House of Representatives and the Senate, and performing research at American University’s Washington College of Law, where he helped to change the law school’s outdated policies. He is also a rising third year doctoral student at UCLA where he is studying higher education and organizational change, in which his research is centered around increasing access and support for first-generation Black male students. Prior to attending UCLA, Mr. Queen became the first student from Annapolis, MD to receive the prestigious Gates Millenium Scholarship award in 2012, which has supported him in receiving a master’s in education policy with specialization in law from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor’s in political science from Morehouse College.

Lawren Camper, a native of Memphis, TN, earned her B.A. in Psychology and Dance as a double major from Dean College in Franklin, MA. She went on to complete her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Recently finishing her Clinical Fellowship Year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Lawren has gained valuable experience working in skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care settings. Her journey has equipped her with a diverse skill set in evaluating and treating a wide range of speech, language, and cognitive disorders. Having worked extensively with individuals facing various levels of cognitive and communicative challenges, she is excited to bring her expertise to Dynamic Therapy. Brittany Mitchell was born in Würzburg, Germany, and raised in Columbus, Georgia. She attended Auburn University (War Eagle!) where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders with a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Alabama. Brittany is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked with clients in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Georgia. Throughout her career, she has served children and adults in various settings, including schools, early intervention programs, outpatient rehabilitation, private practice, and clinics. Her clinical experience includes treating articulation disorders, fluency disorders, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, pragmatic language disorders, and receptive/expressive language skills. She enjoys taking a multidisciplinary approach to best serve her clients and believes that we achieve more when working together. Brittany is passionate about building genuine connections with her clients and is firmly invested in their success.
Brian McDaniel was born and raised in Lithonia, Georgia. He attended Oakwood University (HBCU), in Huntsville, AL where he earned his B.S. degree in Elementary Education. He served as a third and fourth-grade classroom teacher for years and even went on to teach abroad on the beautiful island of Bermuda. Although he loved all of his teaching experiences, it was on the island he realized his unique calling to Speech-Language Pathology. Brian went back to school full-time to receive his M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Andrews University located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. With his fresh and novel perspective, he has served in clinics and schools addressing the communication and educational needs of clients with a wide variety of disability classifications including speech-language impairment, autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. What he enjoys most about Dynamic Therapy is working in a family-like atmosphere where he can utilize his special knowledge, gifts, and talents to give back to his community.
Leah Loftin, M.S., CCC- SLP, was born in Baltimore, MD, and raised in Fort Washington, MD. She attended Howard University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. During this time, she discovered her true calling in speech-language pathology, propelling her to undertake post-baccalaureate courses at the University of Maryland, College Park, to further
hone her skills in this specialized field. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of the District of Columbia. Leah is a certified speech-language pathologist and is licensed in the District of Columbia. She has worked across a variety of settings, private practice, telehealth, early intervention, and short-term nursing facilities and has experience working with diverse populations. Leah possesses clinical experience with dementia, traumatic brain injury, early intervention, expressive/receptive language, fluency disorders, articulation disorders, intellectual disabilities, and pragmatic language. Furthermore, with dedication, ongoing education, and a commitment to excellence, Leah strives to make a difference in the field, one person at a time.
S’moia Crisp was born in New York, raised in North Carolina, and currently resides in the DMV area. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Masters from the University of the District of Columbia in Speech-Language Disorders. S’moia completed her clinical experience in both private practice and private schools, and she also served as a graduate clinician with Dynamic Therapy. Her expertise includes evaluating and treating a range of disorders, including receptive/expressive and pragmatic language disorders, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum disorders. S’moia is passionate about fostering strong connections with her clients and their families, infusing a sense of enjoyment into the learning environment.
Vaughn Thompson completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Howard University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She worked with Dynamic Therapy as a Graduate Clinician and is back to complete her clinical fellowship! Vaughn’s clinical experience includes working in private practices, and public and charter schools. She has experience in evaluating and treating receptive/expressive and pragmatic language disorders, swallowing, phonological and articulation disorders, TBIs (traumatic brain injuries), fluency disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. Vaughn enjoys building relationships with her clients and their families and hopes to promote a rich learning environment.
Asia Ferrell is a dedicated and highly qualified licensed and certified speech-language pathologist hailing from Prince George’s County, Maryland. With a deep-seated commitment to promoting public health, fostering diversity, ensuring equity, and championing inclusion, Asia has made significant contributions to her community. Nicole Shelton is a native Philadelphian and currently resides in Atlanta, GA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Nicole completed her clinical experience in both private practice and public schools. Her expertise includes evaluating and treating a range of disorders, including receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language disorders, articulation disorders, and developmental delays. Nicole is passionate about providing client-centered therapy services and celebrating each individual’s unique identity. Furthermore, she has the ability to bring people together, forming genuine connections that help create a supportive therapy environment for clients and their families.
Maggie Ghotbil is a California native and former Division I athlete who earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the District of Columbia. Since graduating, she has worked with adults in inpatient rehabilitation, helping them regain their communication and swallowing skills. Maggie’s passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan led her back to Dynamic Therapy, where she first trained as a graduate student. She is now thrilled to return as a licensed clinician, providing personalized, evidence-based care to children and adults in the telehealth setting.
Tara Randolph was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Montclair, New Jersey. She attended Howard University, where she earned her degree in Human Development and Psycho-Educational Studies with a minor in Speech-Language Pathology. She later earned her Master of Science degree from the University of the District of Columbia. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the greater DMV area, serving a wide range of ages and conditions. She has experience working in skilled nursing facilities, schools, early intervention programs, pediatric private practices, and teletherapy. She practices a patient-centered approach focused on improving both daily functioning and long-term skills. Throughout her academic journey and career, she has remained dedicated, hardworking, and committed to serving the greater good.
Madelyn Tannery was born and raised in East Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University (BYU). During her time at BYU, Madelyn worked extensively with children as a nanny and as the founder of Princess Camp. These experiences deepened her love for working with children and shaped her commitment to supporting their growth across all areas of development.

A native of North Carolina, Shaleeta Jones, M.S. CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in pragmatic language and sociolinguistics. Having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from The University of North Carolina in Greensboro, Shaleeta went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University. Shaleeta is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Howard University, where she is focusing her research on exploring the aspects of figurative language utilized by Black adolescents. She serves as a teaching fellow and graduate assistant in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and as a research assistant in a multi-site Sociolinguistics-Language and Literacy Lab (SOL), where she mentors graduate students, analyzes language samples, conducts literature searches, and manages data. Shaleeta is excited to join Dynamic Therapy as a Clinical Fellow Mentor. She is committed to giving back to the profession by supporting and guiding new graduate speech-language pathologists.
Isis F. Thomas is a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a proven track record of delivering speech therapy services across diverse settings, including schools, private practice, and hospital & healthcare environments. Her expertise lies in treating children with speech and language disorders, as well as adults dealing with post-stroke or traumatic brain injury-related conditions such as aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphasia deficits. This has established her as one of the most sought-after speech therapists in Georgia. Furthermore, Ms. Thomas holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) with a specialization in Speech-Language Pathology from South Carolina State University.
Aleyseia Oliver is a passionate Occupational Therapist who graduated from Auburn University-Montgomery with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She later went on to attend Tuskegee University, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Since then, Aleyseia has worked as an Occupational Therapist in hospital settings, as well as in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She has experience treating diverse clients with neurological impairments, physical dysfunctions, and neurodegenerative complications. Aleyseia takes pride in helping her clients become more independent in their daily activities of choice. She is a genuine person who uses therapeutic use of self to connect with her clients personally and achieve their goals. Aleyseia is committed to seeing her clients excel by driving innovation and fostering teamwork to conquer any challenging hurdles.
Dr. Normanie Ricks is a decorated former officer of the United States Navy who has spent her career as a Healthcare Rehabilitation Clinic Manager, Occupational Therapy clinician, mentor, volunteer, and advocate. She obtained a Certification in Non-Profit Management from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her most notable career accomplishments include managing the Wounded Warrior Program at the United States Naval Hospital in San Diego, single-handedly developing an Occupational Therapy Neonatal Intensive Care Program, being involved in Navy Medicine’s first study on Targeted Muscle Reinnervation and Nerve Transfers for Amputees, and conducting Vision Research for soldiers who sustained Traumatic Brain Injuries during conflicts. She is an advocate for children with disabilities both in the United States and abroad, having served children in Japan, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Zambia.
Dione Weathersby is an experienced occupational therapist with a career spanning over two decades. With a deep passion for her work, she finds fulfillment in assisting a wide range of individuals through diverse therapy strategies. Dione’s background is not limited to occupational therapy; she also possesses expertise in Psychology, massage therapy, lymphedema, and oncology rehabilitation.
